The University of Illinois at Chicago, shortly (UIC) is a public research university situated in Chicago,Illinois USA ,with the motto of "Teach,research,serve,care" which was established in 1858.This is the largest university in Chicago. UIC is the largest medical University in the United States, and serves as the principal educator for Illinois’ physicians, pharmacists,dentists, physical therapists, nurses and other healthcare sectors.The university has about 32000 students,among them 2200 are international students.

Admission for nursing 

Admission to B.S.N program is open to high school graduates,transfer students from two or 4 years colleges or universities,registered nurses who are graduates of diploma or associate degrees. Resides of New York State who do not qualify for regular admission and who come from low-income backgrounds may be considered for the college's Community Leadership Program.

Admission to the master's program in Nursing is selective.Criteria of admission includes accredited nursing program,or a nursing program deemed comparable by the World Education Services, with a minimum GPA of 3.0; an application including an essay describing goal for graduate study in nursing; a resume; a personal interview;two letter of recommendations,preferably from a nursing administrator and a faculty member. completion of basic statics course; current malpractice insurance and a nun-refundable $35 application fee .Application who do not meet the 3.0 GPA requirement for admission may submit a written request to master's nursing Admission committee for a review of their application portfolio.
